Our Story

Saint Clair Family Estate’s pioneering founders Neal and Judy Ibbotson were among the first handful of growers in Marlborough, planting their first vineyard in 1978. Neal and Judy spent the next 15 years listening, tasting and learning as they devoted themselves to finding and acquiring more top vineyard sites throughout the region. In another pioneering move, Neal and Judy founded Saint Clair Family Estate winery in 1994, taking control of the wines made from their exceptional estate vineyard sites.

Located on the top of the South Island, Saint Clair Origin Series Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is celebrated and enjoyed for its distinctive flavors, crisp acidity and exceptional quality. Primarily grown in a unique coastal spot in Marlborough, Dillons Point, Origin Series is known for its signature notes of intense passion fruit and guava, with refreshing hints of sea air on the finish.
